How the colour of light depends on size of scattering particle?

Fine particles present in the atmosphere scatter mainly blue light whereas large particles scatter light of longer wavelengths {red}. If the size of the particle is very large, the scattered light may appear white.hence we can say that  the colour of light depends on size of scattering particle.
