Make a Saturated Copper Sulfate Solution. Stir copper sulfate into very hot water until no more will dissolve. You can just pour the solution into a jar and wait a few days for crystals to grow, but if you grow a seed crystal, you can get much larger and better-shaped crystals.

➢ Take some impure copper sulphate in a china dish and dissolve in minimum amount of water.

➢ Filter the solution to remove impurities.

➢ Heat the copper sulphate solution on water bath.

➢ When small crystals form on glass rods, stop heating.

➢ Allow the saturated solution to cool slowly.

➢ Crystals of pure copper sulphate are formed.

➢ Separate the copper sulphate crystals by filtration and dry.
