The dhangars are traditionally pastroal living on large herds of sheeps and goats. The word Dhangar in Sanskrit means cow. So , dhangars earn their livelihood by the means of sheep , goat , bullocks, cows , etc. The Dhangars were also skillea warriors. For example, Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj said that he was a subcaate of Dhangars.
