Each of our kidneys is made up of about a million filtering units called nephrons. Each nephron filters our blood by removing waste products.

This is called filtration.

Sometimes, kidneys stop working. At this time, they've undergo dialysis.

Dialysis is the process of removing excess water, solutes, and toxins from the blood in people whose kidneys can no longer perform these functions naturally.

-> Hence, filtration takes place in normal person whereas dialysis takes place in people whose kidneys are not working
