Answer:

mark me as brainlinest

Explanation:

Directories can be defined by the operating system, by the system administrator, or by users. The system-defined directories contain specific kinds of system files, such as commands. At the top of the file system hierarchy is the system-defined /(root) directory. French Directory. The Directory was a five-member committee which governed France from 1795, when it replaced the Committee of Public Safety, until it was overthrown by Napoleon Bonaparte in the Coup of 18 Brumaire (8–9 November 1799) and replaced by the French Consulate. The significance of the Directory is that it established the utter failure of revolutionary France to provide a decent government to the people. It completed the process of disillusionment against the Revolution among the people. The power grab occurred according to the constitution of the third year of the revolution. Directory was elected by the new legislature, council of five hundred and the council of ancients. One of the biggest problems with the selection was that Directory limited the range of civil liberties.

Answer:

after the jacobin government fell wealthier middle class saw it as an opportunity to seize the power.

They drafted a new constitution which denied right to vote to non propertied sections of the society and it also provided for two elected legislative councils Which then appointed the directory , an executive made up of 5 members.

this was meant as a safegaurd against concentration of power in the hands of one person like in the jacobin government.

the directors often clashed with the legislative councils who then sought to dismiss them.

This political instability Of the directory  paved a way for the rise of a military dictator Napoleon Bonaparte.

Hope this helps
