How the focal length of a lens may be determinedv by the given power of the lens

Power(P) = 1/Focal length(f) 

So, Power is the reciprocal of the focal length of the lens.

∴ you take the focal length to the other side

P = 1/f
f = 1/P

∴ the unit derived is in metres.
