how the following factors affect the rate of transpiration
1.wind
2.temperature
3.humidity
4.time of day
Answers
Answer:
Transpiration is the removal of water vapour from the plant through the stomata.
Factors affecting transpiration are :
1. Temperature : Increase in temperature causes an increase in the evaporation of water vapour and hence Transpiration increases.
2. Light : Adequate light conditions causes the opening of eand hence Transpiration increases.
3. Humidity: high humidity reduces the rate of transpiration as the nearby atmosphere is somewhat saturated by water vapour.
4. Number of stomata: Higher number of stomata cause increase in Transpiration.
5. Distribution of stomata : Stomata on the upper epidermis of the leaf are more involved in Transpiration whereas stomata on the lower epidermis are less involved in Transpiration.
Answer:
wind - it helps the molecules tu catch up air
temperature- it provides kinetic energy to particles to,fastening the process
humidity- it slows down transpiration because it absorb heat from atmisphere
time of day - in morning it will be medium speed
in noon it will be at highest speed
in evening it will be moderate
at night it will be very slow
note--all the explanation are irrespective of weather and climate
