Each microsporocyte ( a microspore mother cell ) undergoes meiosis, forming four haploid microspores, each of which can eventually develop into a pollen grain. Firstly meiosis takes place in microspore mother celland form four haploid microsporesthen each microspore develop by mitosis to pollen grain.
