The given flower Gladiolus is propagated from corms .The corms are dug out from the soil 6 to 8 weeks after harvesting the flower spikes.

For planting in the next season these corms are cleaned and dried under shade and are stored in the cold storage at 2°C.

Gladiolus flower spikes are harvested between 85 - 140 days  when basal floret is half  or fully open after planting. In cold storage these spikes can be stored by keeping in water for nine days.
