there was only a single landmass. its name was gondwana land . due to breaking of conventional current Indian plate drifted towards north and collided with much bigger Eurasian plate .due to this collision Himalayas were formed

almost 5 crore years ago,the northern edge of the indo-australian plate was pushed beneath the Eurasian plate.Due to this convergence ,the sediments of tethys sea were folded to the form the Himalayas mountain.←←←❤️
