Covid-19’s impact on the country is massive. It has caused a national state of disaster and a 21-day lockdown, unheard of in South Africa’s history.

Many South Africans have already felt the impact of the consequences of the coronavirus: Loss of income, job losses, investment portfolios depleted, inabilities to service loans, lapses of insurance policies and fear of scarcity of food, to name but a few.

Many companies listed on the JSE also haven’t escaped the brunt of the impact of the coronavirus.

The following companies, among others, issued statements in which they indicated the negative impact of Covid-19 on their trade and income.
