The ozone layer protects the earth from the harmful rays coming from the sun. Therefore it's depletion will lead the entrance of the harmful rays on the earth and will affect us because that will lead to radiations and people will be in danger. If we need to stop it than we have to make minimal use of conventional resources and make use of nature friendly resources. The ozone is like a protective umbrella for the earth hence we need to take care of it.
