How the plastic is affecting to human beings and environment?
Answers
Hello there!
Plastic doesnt disintegrate easily into the environment. This means that probably the first plastic made might still be their in some land fill. Plastic is widely used as it is cheap and durable. Since, people around the world use it greatly, there has been an excess which today ,we refer to as ‘plastic pollution’.
If burned, it releases harmful toxins in the air causing air pollution. Majority of the pollutants in oceans and seas are plastic, which tiny fish choke on. Sometimes, these toxins make their way to the bodies of marine life and this could potentially end up in our plates.
It also affects humans as it could seep into ground water and we might even be drinking water which has contents. There might also be microplastics in things we dont even think plastic could make its way to. Animals might also ingest or choke on plastic and the toxins could end up in their bodies, causing poisoning.
Inhaling toxins could also cause respiratory problems s and as the amount of plastics increase, the no. Of landfills are also increasing which could potentially and is already invading animals habitats.
Hope the answer helped.
