yes humans are responsible for most of the pollution which affects the planet - but we are not solely responsible ….

the presence in or introduction into the environment of a substance which has harmful or poisonous effects.

Hence natural events can pollute an environment e.g. a major forest fire will pollute the air over a wide area and may harm ecosystems outside it’s burn area.

The differences between natural and human caused pollution are :-

The scale, we are introducing pollutants into the environment 100’s or 1000’s of times faster than natural processes can remove them. The environment just cannot cope with this surge. Think the difference between someone throwing a cup of water at you and putting yourself in the path of a river in full flood.
We are introducing synthetic compounds into the environment which natural processes either cannot remove or remove very slowly. Example Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) which is 22800 more potent greenhouse gas than CO2 and stays in the atmosphere at least 300 times longer than CO2 . Hence the SF6 already in the atmosphere will over it’s life account for about 5% of total warming
