HEY DEAR HERE IS YOUR ANSWER ✌✌❤❤

The President of India is elected by an electoral college - but that is only the tip of the iceberg.

The President cannot be elected by the people of the state themselves. If the case was such, the President could claim direct power of the people since they voted for her.

The President of India is elected by an electoral college. This college comprises the elected representatives of the government that form the government after being elected in the state assembly and national elections.

The President is not directly elected by the people. The elected Members of Parliament(MPs) and the Members of the Legislative Assembly(MLAs) elect her. A candidate standing for President's post has to get a majority of votes to win the election.
