Answer: The literary and archaeological records are two ways via which the historians are able to figure out what had happened in ancient India. Thee include literature in Sanskrit, Vedic, Prakrit and other foreign accounts. Ramayana is an ancient epic which was writing by Valmiki. It has the course of events that took place at that point of time, based on the study of this literature, the world today knows about Ram, Sita and other events that took place at that time.
