The relationship between the author and his grandmother was very friendly in the first phase of the story i.e.the life in the village .the grandmother used to make him ready for the school,helps him in his studies.

Their relationship in the second phase was disturbing because author was now going to an English medium school where his grandma was not able to help him in his studies.

after some tym they both were given separate rooms.then there was no conversation b/w both of them..
