Satellites are used in communication, monitoring, weather, GPS and safety, and are the backbone of major technologies we all depend on, whether we’re aware of it or not. Without them, thousands of organizations would slow down or stop, stores would run out of supplies, energy would be harder to distribute, and many of the people we rely on and talk to every day would be harder or impossible to reach. Things would change suddenly in ways few of us are aware of, let alone completely predict.
