Hi friend,

Matkas making soil are porous and contain larger sized particles. This type of soil is called as loamy soil.

Whereas statues require smooth and moist soil where proportion of fine particles is relatively higher and has high water holding capacity. This type of soil is clayey soil.

It is because horse dung is mixed in baked soil which is used for making matkas.
