Following are the ways South African government provides support to the people in Arrive Alive.
Explanation:
Arrive alive was founded in December 31st, 2004. It was a non government organisation runned with the help of funds and donations provided by the people. The funds provided is both by public and private sectors of South Africa. It helps saving lives of people.
Its major motto is to spread awareness in people about road safety. They have claimed to reduce accidents due to their efforts of generating awareness in the people.
But now it is supported by the Government too. In 2015 it was announced that the Road Traffic Management Corporation could not use the Arrive Alive campaign name anymore because the name was already used privately so they decided to rename it as 365 Days of Road Safety Program which will work through out the year.
Government provides support by
- By creating a team of road safety management.
- Improving the conditions of the roads and transport system.
- Improving safety of cars, trucks etc.
- Improving the behavior of drivers and pedestrians
- Lastly creating a better post-crash response of medical aid and providing funds to the sufferers.
