Thank you for this question.

The Voyage of Discovery was the entrance of the Europeans in the East in search of resources. The Voyage of Discovery lead to the growth of trade between Europe and the East in the following ways:

(i) The Europeans established trade routes through the sea.

(ii) The Europeans entered the East with the main objective to trade.

(iii) There were no land routes and the trade by sea was convenient.

(iv) East was full of resources which were cheaper and were sold in Europe on high prices.

(v) It developed the economy of both, Europe and the East.

The voyage of discovery has really paved the pathway towards immense growth of trade between Europe and the East.

It has enabled Europeans to pave pathway for trade routes through sea.

Though there was no other routes other than waterway, it has contributed a lot in terms of earning of revenue for both Europe and the East.
