the water absorbed by roots is important for the plant is photosynthesis

Epicrick: Thank a lot, but it is a long answer question.
amangupta95: thanks
Epicrick: can you give me some more points about the question
niral: It is absorbed by root pressure. The whole process is stimulated by transpiration. The loss of water from the leaves results in the concentration gradient for osmosis to occur.. The water enters the root hairs through osmosis. There are numerous root hairs. So it causes a high force called root pressure. The water than flows through the xylem vessels by Capillarity.. And because of the adhesive and cohesive properties of water and up to the leaves.
