1) The most common way is through vaginal intercourse. A man ejaculates sperm into the vagina. The sperm travels up through the cervix, into the uterus, and, if an egg is present, the sperm may fertilize it.
2) Through insemination: sperm is inseminated in woman's vagina or uterus through syringe. The sperm comes through the male partner or in the case of female partners from a sperm donor.
3) In Vitro fertilisation: for woman who are infertile. The eggs are taken out from the woman's body and combined with sperm. Fertilised egg is then implanted back in uterus.

A woman's ovaries release one or more eggs (ovulation) 12-16 days before her next period. The man's sperm enters the woman's body through her vagina, then travels through her cervix and womb to the fallopian tubes, where an egg is fertilised (conception).
