Private Quelch though stood late at night studying lots of books could not reach nearer his target. there was a turning point in his life when he was appointed as a member of the permanent cook house duties. his habit of boasting and humiliating people in the public places took him farther from his goal. though he was hardworking, he was very boastful. he did not change his habits even when he was appointed for the cooking duties. he kept on giving lectures to his batchmates.
