how this u = 18 km h-1 has converted into 5 m s-1 ...and v = 36 km h-1 converted into 10 m s-1????

This is a formula...

18×1000/60×60
18000/3600
180/36=5 m/s

and 2 nd case

36km/hr

in m/s

36×1000/60×60

36000/3600= 10m/s
