THORN FOREST
found in regions of very less rainfall around 50 to 100 cm
Plants have sharp spines, fleshy stems, long and deep roots as adaptations
Found in drier parts of andhra pradesh karnataka and parts of rajasthan and gujrat
Important trees include acacia babool kikar
TIDAL FORESTS
Found in fresh or salt water
They grow in marshy areas in soft soil
They have tangled webs of arching roots and also breathing roots to survive in low and high tides
They are found in western parts of western ghats and river deltas like krishna kaveri godavari brahmaputra ganga etc...
