AIDS is Acquired immune deficiency syndrome . AIDS is caused by a virus called HIV(Human immunodeficiency virus).When this virus enters the blood streams, a person may become infected with it & said to be HIV positive.

Various modes of transmission:-

Using needles already infected with HIV positive blood- In hospitals due to ignorance or lack of attention of doctors/ nurses reuse the needles infected with HIV is possible, this could be the reason for the transmission of disease. Through blood transfusionFrom Infected mothers to their babies during pregnancy or delivery.
