∵ (as )the chords of the circle are equal so the centre will lie on the bisector of ang(BAC)
➠OA bisects ang(BAC)
➠now the internal bisector of an angle divides the opposite side into the ratio of the sides containing the angle.
➠i.e.,P is the mid point of BC.
➠OP⊥BC
now...from the ∆ABM
➤AB²=BM²+AM²
➤6²=BM²+AM²
➤BM²=6²-AM²
Now from the ∆BMO,
➤BO²=BM²+OM²
➤5²=6²-AM²+(AO-AM)²
➤5²=6²-AM²+(5-AM)²
➤5²=6²-AM²+5²+AM²-10AM
➤10AM=36
➤AM=3.6 cm
∴0M=5-AM=(5-3.6)cm=1.4cm
