I am developing a groundwater potential map with the following factors: lineament density and intersection maps, geomorphological map, permeable aquifer thickness map and coefficient of anisotropy map is not a problem. But, how do I weigh these factors in order to compute their percentage of contribution to the overall generation of a potential map? I need a statistical method or procedure/approach. I do not want to weigh these factors arbitrarily without a scientific basis, relation or explanation.
