pls tell how to balance a redox reaction in neutral medium I know how to balance redox reaction in acidic and basic medium but I don't know how to balance a redox reaction in neutral medium​

To balance a redox reaction on neutral medium .

For example consider the redox reaction shown below.

Fe2+ + Ce4+ → Fe3+ + Ce3+

In this process the Fe2+ ion is oxidised, but there is no oxygen involved in this reaction. The Ce4+ ion, which is reduced acts as the oxidising agent. So oxidation reactions need not involve oxygen. This redox reaction is actually the sum of two separate half-reactions (a reduction half-reaction and an oxidation half-reaction).
