to balance an equation u should make clear tat there are equal no. of moles in both reactant and product side...... if it is not you should make it same for each elemeant in both the side.....

first you should know what are products and what are reactants.
reactants are left side and products are right side.
so when a equation is given first you should write LHS and RHS and write what elements are present in the given equation seperately I LHS and RHS.
now write numbers of them seperately. suppose H2O is given then H-2, O-1.
If they are not balanced multiply with least even no 2
always try to make the nos positive.
If u know these u can easily balance an equation.
u need to pay a lot of attention when you r balance an equation... remember.
