A balanced chemical equation is an equation where the mass of atoms of the reactants(I.e.on the left side) is equal to the mass of the atoms of the products (I.e. on the right side)

Example,

Here’s an unbalanced equation
▪ Cu + O2 —> CuO

After balancing,
▪2Cu+O2–>2CuO
