for example

H2+O2 -----》H2O

now check the number of atoms of each kind on both sides

H- 2, 2

O-2,1

now try to make the number of O equal on both sides

H2+O2----》2 H2O

now again check the number of atoms of each kind on both sides

H-2,4

O-2,2

now try to equalise H on both sides

2 H2 + O2 ------》 2 H2O

now your equation is balanced and other equations are also solved in the same manner and process of balancing the chemical equations is known as hit and trial method
