how to balance chemical equations

first check the LHS and take one compound say carbon count how many carbons are there on the LHS , then move on to the RHS and count the no. of carbons multiply certain amount to balance it

check RHS and LHS if on both sides the atoms are equal like if on right there are 2 hydrogens but on left only 2 multiply it by 2 hence equate on the other side in order to maintain the equation.
