We do balance equation bcoz the law of conservation of mass states that the total mass on the side of reactants is always equal to the total mass on the side of reactants...

To solve the unbalanced equation to balanced equation we have to balance the atoms of each element ,so that their number is same on the side of reactants as well as products..The equation so formed is the balanced chemical equation..

Hope it hlps:)

For balancing chemical equations in chemistry you have to follow below mentioned steps:-
1.First balance elements that are metals and are and then start balancing non-metals.
2.Sometimes it is easier to balance those elements that have more atoms.
3.After balancing all the elements try to balance oxygen and at last balance hydro gen atoms.
4.By following these mentioned steps you can easily balance any chemical equations in chemistry.
5.Remember try to write chemical equations in physical state. If it is not asked to write chemical equations in physical state then it is not needed.
