There are following methods to balance the equation :-

1)First , balance the metal .

2)Then , balance the non - metals other than Hydrogen and Oxygen..

3)Again balance the metal and non metal ( except H2 and O2), if they are unbalanced .

4)Balance the O2.

.5)Again balance the matter if it is unbalanced .

6)Lastly balance the H2.

7)Again check and balance if any substance is unbalanced

The method is A B C D method .

Ex :-

H2 + O 2→ H20

Put a in front of H2 , b in front of O2 and c in front of H20.

You may use A to Z depending upon number of reactants and products .

We have ,
a H2 + bO2 → c H2O.

For H2, we observe
2a =2c .
For O 2 , we observe
2b=c

Consider the variable occurring more time be 1 or if the outcome of variables are equal then you can take any variable equal to 1.

Here ,.
consider C =1 .
→ 2a =2×1
→a =1 .

Similarly , b = 1/2 .

Now put the values of variables in its place .

H2 + 1/2O2 →H2O.

Multiply the whole equation by 2 .

2H2 + O2 → 2H2O

Answer:

After you written your equation count the amount of elements you have on the reactants and product and make sure you have egual amount of them on both side

Explanation:

example C+O2→ CO2

REACTANT SIDE PRODUCT SIDE

C-CARBON 1

C-CARBON 1

O -OXYGEN 2 O -OXYGEN 2

YOUR EQAUTIO IS BALANCED
