first make your stance right. and then the positon of bat whether you want to keep it in air or in the ground at the starting.                                                               don't concentrate on deeply when the bowler is taking a long runup. concentrate only when he  comes to a certain distance up to you.  

try to hit the ball with the full face of the bat.

foot work it is very important comes with time.when you try to hit a shot and want to change your current position always move your back foot first then move the front foot.then you can cover a long distance.Give it a try
