- The degree you need to become an astronaut is a degree in Engineering, computer science or mathematics. This degree can be of a bachelors degree in these subjects.
- They also need to have experience as being a pilot in a jet type aircraft. They need to have about 1000 hours of experience as this.
- They should not have any breathing problems or a weak heart. They also need to be brave and should also be aware that they may lose their life in this job there is a risk in this job.
- The astronauts must be spending most of their time in the space stations which are located outside earth.
- They will also undergo severe training about how to walk in space and the food that they eat. They come in disposable packages. How to not get sick in space etc.
- For getting admission in NASA you have to pass their entrance examination.
