It's very simple.

1.for calculating regular shape(square, rectangle)

Length×width

700ft×500ft

350000 sq.ft

2.for calculating irregular shape(quadrilateral)

-Divide the area into triangles

Then use Heron's formula

For 1st triangle

S= (a+b+c)/2

Area1=√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

For 2nd triangle

S=(d+e+f)/2

Area2=√s(s-d)(s-e)(s-f)

Finally ,

Area=Area1+Area2 ( in sq.ft/ sq.mtr/acer)

HOPE THIS WILL HELP U
