how to calculate average marks of 5 semesters

here is your answer:

 \boxed{Average = \frac{Sum. of.all. observations }{number. of. observations.} }

Average marks of 5 semester=  \frac{a + b + c + d + e}{5}

Let,

marks of first subject = 40

marks of second shubject= 45

marks of third subject = 50

marks of forth subject = 40

marks of fifth subject= 45

average marks of 5 subject =  \frac{40 + 45 + 50 + 40 + 45}{5}

 = \frac{220}{5}

 = 44
