BMI = body mass index = Weight in Kg / (Height in meters)²
This is the usual BMI followed universally. This is for adults.. of course not for too old persons or pregnant women or kids.
In general it is said that BMI is between 18 and 23 for healthy normal adults.
If it is more than 25 to 29, then the person is overweight...fat..
if the index is more than 30 then the person is obese...
this is the same rule followed in India too...
