How to calculate derivatives of xy in calculus?

First of you must know that when you find the derivative of any function , you are actually finding slope...

and You also know about function and respect in which you are going to diffrentiate the function the given function..

Derivative rules -> we use Product Rule for the given problem

You dint mention the respect in which function xy is to be differentiate...

given function is a Type Implicit Function and this can be differentiate w.r.t.x as follow..
f(x) = xy
applying Product rule
f'(x) = x d(y)/dx + y d(x)/dx
= x dy/dx + y . 1
= x dy/dx + y
