They follow the same exponents rules. Let us take an example.
(a^m * a^n = a^m+n)
0.13 x 0.13
It would be 0.13^1 x 0.13^1.
That is, 0.13^1+1=0.13^2. On calculating 0.13^2, we find :- 0.0169. (This is so because 0.13 x 0.13 totals to four decimal places, so the answer has four decimal places as well.)

Hope it helps!
