Conductivity of a material implies flow or current of free electrons through a solid body. Intrinsic conductivity implies when conductivity is caused by heat or electronic excitation or crystallographic effects. The number of electrons in the conduction band are equal to the number of holes in the valence band in an intrinsic semi - conductor.
Intrinsic conductivity is calculated using the following formula:-
Conductivity = (number density) * (electron charge) * (mobility)
