Count the number of protons and neutrons of an atom in a nucleus. Then, add them to find the number of nucleons. The number of nucleons you got is actually the mass number of an atom.

to calculate mass of an atom follow the below steps:
1. mass of 6.022×10 raised to 23 = mass of an atom(1.66×10 raised to -24)
2. mass of 1 atom = mass of an atom(1.66×10 raised to -24) ÷ 6.022×10 raised to 23
3. solve and get answer.
4. should not put any units because it is mass.
Hope you got it.
