To calculate no. of moles of an element or an compound divide the given mass by the total mass of elements
for example find the no. of moles in 16 gram of O2
then we know that the mass of Oxygen is 16
and O2 means 2 atoms of oxygen
it means it's mass is 2*16=32
hence no. of moles
=16/32
=1/2 mole
