AnweR :

To FinD :

▪ Potential difference b/w points A and B.

ConcepT :

▪ This question is completely based on kirchhoff's second law.

▪ This is also called as loop rule.

Mathematically,

Σε = Σ(IR)

CalculatioN :

Case - 1) :

→ (V)A - (2×2) - 3 - (2×1) = (V)B

→ (V)A - (V)B = 4 + 3 + 2

(V)A - (V)B = 9volt

Case - 2) :

→ (V)A - (2×2) + 3 - (2×1) = (V)B

→ (V)A - (V)B = 4 - 3 + 2

(V)A - (V)B = 3volt
