Elements are chemically the simplest substances and cannot be broken down using chemical reactions
To calculate the amount of atoms present in an element:
- We know that one mole of anything (including atoms) is 6.022 x 10^23. Firstly you must know the mass of the element given.
- We know that moles = to mass / relative atomic mass
- After getting the moles, you multiply the mole number you got with avogadros number
