Hey there !

Solution:

Concepts to be learnt: 1 g = 1 ml

So Mass / Volume % can be now calculated easily.

Volume = Amount of Solute + Amount of Solvent

=> Volume = 40 g + 360 g

=> Volume = 400 g = 400 ml

=> Concentration of Solution = Amt. of solute / Amt of soln. × 100

=> Concentration = ( 40 / 400 ) × 100

=> Concentration = ( 1 / 10 ) × 100

=> Concentration = 0.1 × 100 = 10 %

Hence the concentration is 10%.

Hope my answer helped !
