its very easy to do here is answer

we can take example=

marks obt.             number of students          cumalative freq.

15                                   3                                                3

17                                    5                                                8

20                                   9                                                 17

22                                    4                                                 21

25                                    6                                                27

30                                    10                                               37

so now// total number of trms = 37 which is odd.

median of marks = marks obt. by 37+1/2

= marks obt. by 19th student

= 22 ......its done ///for finding cumalative freq.. u should add first no. to second like done 3+5=8  ,8+9= 17...just like that

Let the frequencies be 3 and 4.

Case I

Since there is no number before the first frequency ( 3 ), it is added to zero.

3 + 0 = 3.

So the cumulative frequency in case I is 3.

Case II

Since there is a number befire the second frequency ( 4 ) , it is added to it.

4 + 3 =7.

And hence, 7 is the cumulative frequency in second case.
